We're hosting the next installment of our new virtual event series, Forum Friday, on Friday, August 14! Forum researchers will discuss our recent report on how the COVID-19 pandemic upended Wisconsin's child care sector, creating huge challenges for children and families seeking high-quality care and for businesses seeking to reopen. After we size up the problem, we'll invite the state's top child care official and a key business community stakeholder to join the discussion. Wisconsin Department of Children and Families Secretary Emilie Amundson will give her take on the severity of the challenge and possible public sector responses, while Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce President Tim Sheehy will share his thoughts on what's at stake for businesses and whether policymakers need to intervene.
We want to hear from you, too! We'll conclude with a Q&A session for registered participants. Registration is free, but required for this event. We look forward to your participation!
What is Forum Friday? In this webinar format, we discuss a timely research topic and invite notable guests and Forum members to join the conversation. While this new virtual event series doesn't replace our in-person events, we hope this can be a new way to keep you informed and connected on our state's most pressing public policy issues.
