Road Map:
Understanding Transportation Funding in Wisconsin

Virtual event | December 13, 2024 | 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

On December 13, our popular virtual event series Forum Friday focused on how Wisconsin will fund its transportation system in the years to come amid new challenges including inflation and the adoption of electric vehicles.

We began with a presentation on the findings from our recently released Forum report examining those challenges in depth – and comparing options for how state transportation revenues could be sustainably aligned with transportation spending needs.

Policymakers will face hard choices to accomplish this, and our guest panel will share their insights on how best to do so. Our Forum Friday panelists will include:

Julie Esch
Interim Managing Director

Transit System

Mark Gottlieb
Former Secretary
Wisconsin Department of Transportation

Steve Baas
Executive Director
Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association

Tracy Johnson
President & CEO
Commercial Association of REALTORS Wisconsin

During Forum Fridays, we discuss a timely research topic and invite notable guests and Forum members to join the conversation. We hope this can be another way to keep you informed and connected on our state’s most pressing public policy issues. Stay tuned for more Forum Friday events in the near future!
