Wisconsin’s state and local leaders will be grappling with an array of critical transportation issues for metro Milwaukee in the coming months, ranging from how to rebuild (or possibly replace) I-794 and the Stadium Freeway, whether to add capacity to I-94 between the Marquette and Zoo Interchanges, and whether and how to pursue bus rapid transit and streetcar expansion. How they respond will have a huge impact on the region’s economy and its quality of life for decades to come.
Join the Wisconsin Policy Forum at a Viewpoint Luncheon that will explore the nature of those decisions, how they are intertwined, and how they will be made. We will begin with a one-on-one conversation with Wisconsin Department of Transportation Region Director Bob Gutierrez. Then, we will convene a panel of local leaders:
Donna Brown-Martin, Director, Milwaukee County Department of Transportation
Stephanie Hacker, Executive Director, Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission
Dale Kooyenga, President, Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce
Kevin Muhs, City Engineer, City of Milwaukee
Moderated by Rob Henken, Wisconsin Policy Forum
