Join us Friday, December 8, for our popular virtual event series, Forum Friday – with this installment focusing on the challenges facing the UW System and impacts on the state’s workforce needs.
We’ll begin with an overview of our research on Wisconsin’s public university system, which is grappling with declining enrollment, stagnant state funding, and clashes with lawmakers.
Then our Forum Friday guests will discuss the system’s challenges and what they mean for the state’s workforce. Those difficulties have triggered staff cuts, and the closure or end of in-person instruction at several branch campuses at a time when many employers are struggling to find workers.
