What is Forum Friday? In this webinar format, we discuss a timely research topic and invite notable guests and Forum members to join the conversation. While this virtual event series doesn't replace our in-person events, we hope this can be a way to keep you informed and connected on our state's most pressing public policy issues.

Virtual event | September 29, 2023 | 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
Join us Friday, September 29, for our popular virtual event series, Forum Friday – with this installment focusing on teacher workforce challenges in Wisconsin.
We’ll begin the program by presenting our new research on teacher turnover. Then we’ll interview Wisconsin’s top K-12 administrator, State Superintendent Jill Underly, to get her views.
We’ll follow that up with a discussion with two more panelists with expertise in the areas of teacher certification, recruitment, and professional development. Also included in this conversation: the role of traditional educator prep programs, and the challenges of attracting students to education programs and the teaching profession.
Our Forum Friday guests will be:
Jill Underly |
Desiree Pointer Mace |
Laci Coppins Robbins |
As always, we’ll conclude with a Q&A session for registered participants. Registration is free, but required for this event.
